Social Media, Email, Website, and Media

Once the content is created, it’s time to get it out there. I’ve used email campaigns to curate information for library patrons, streamlined website layouts to optimize user experience, and followed social media trends to boost engagement and increase event attendance.

Along with social media imagery, I also write captions and manage comments and inquiries.

Engagement starts with the image and is carried through with the caption. Maintaining a brand voice ensures that your audience recognizes and relates to your content, and adding a touch of humor never hurts.

Newsletter Email Campaigns

This monthly email blast includes a clickable PDF document that leads to a live calendar where patrons can directly sign up for events.

Email Blasts

Regular email blasts are sent out to patrons outside of the monthly newsletter. This helps fill attendance gaps and is useful for PSA information. I monitor click map data to see how (and if) patrons are opening and engaging with emails. I then take that data and adjust my campaigns accordingly.

Website Maintenance

At the Brentwood Library, working within the legacy content management system has been challenging. However, I have been able to work around this by creating eye-catching user interface graphics and adjusting navigation in line with patron feedback.

As of early 2025, I have coordinated with the city administration to create a new library website through building the new sitemap, implementing branding, and migrating content into a new layout and design.

Media Outreach

To amplify awareness of the library’s offerings I am constantly in communication with local media news outlets.
